Carlos Simón, MD, PhD

Area of expertise: His main clinical and scientific interest focuses on understanding human embryonic implantation, a critical process to the survival of the species, by considering the embryo, the maternal endometrium, and their cross-communication as crucial elements.

Tamara Tilburgs, PhD
Assistant Professor, Division of Immunobiology, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.

Area of expertise: Elucidating interactions between trophoblasts and maternal immune cells to establish maternal-fetal tolerance and immunity to infection and abnormalities contributing to pregnancy complications.
